It's Thursday which means for me and many other students the weekend has officially begun! I do not have classes on Friday so I have a three-day weekend every weekend. Just to preface, Liverpool has been voted the 7th best city in the world, which means every weekend is filled with events! Last weekend there were multiple parades for Chinese New Year, and this weekend because there is a Liverpool FC game the pubs and streets will be filled with people celebrating Liverpool's inevitable win! However, every night of the week something is going on. On Monday nights there is a pub quiz where you get with a group of friends and play trivia to win all sorts of prizes! Tuesdays are karaoke nights and everyone goes out to sing their favorite songs. Wednesday is another local pub quiz, can you tell they're popular? And finally, Thursdays are typically nights when people go out to dinner with their friends and have cocktails. By the time the weekend comes, I am honestly all worn out! But don't worry my roommates and I still go out and have some fun, typically we will go to an event hosted by our Global Opportunities Society, which is a club for international students to meet each other and learn about new places.
This Saturday I am going on a trip to Wales to visit a national park, and I am so excited! I am going to be going with a bunch of international students and it will be so fun to climb the mountains and see the beautiful scenery. I will make sure to take lots of photos and include them in the next blog!
Sorry this is a short entry, it's been a long and tiring week but more about that next week!
