Change is a part of human nature. We all have it in us to adapt, develop, and adjust to our environment. Still, many of us struggle with the discomfort that comes with change. Comfort is something everyone loves— whether it’s a childhood home, a favorite meal, a daily habit, or anything else. In my opinion, finding the balance of comfort and change is key to success. Currently, I am packing at the last minute for my flight to Paris tomorrow. I will be changing from a student at the University of South Carolina to a student at ESSEC Business School. The words ‘change’ and ‘uncomfortable’ have frequently crossed my mind in. There are many emotions. I feel ecstatic to go, yet I am also scared of such a big change. I feel as if I do not know what the future holds, and that feeling is strange. I am ready for what the future beholds. Tomorrow I will be leaving 2024 in a plane, and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. These blog posts will surround the feeling of change and growth, and my experiences while traveling outside of the United States.
