Adapting

Today marks two weeks since I arrived in France, and while that might seem brief, the experiences I’ve packed into this time have been nothing short of transformative. For it being my first time, I really have felt at home in Paris.

It is the city of light!

ESSEC, where I've joined with 15 other South Carolina students, is a small international school located in the outskirts of Paris. Each day, I am learning French customs and destinations that have recently been unknown to me. It’s fascinating to bond with my classmates over our diverse backgrounds yet share the same academic journey. The biggest difference in the past two weeks would be the food. The prices at the grocery store are friendlier to my college budget, and I have been able to get a croissant at a pâtisserie almost every day. I enjoy trying more upscaled items at restaurants too. I am enjoying learning about the French culture. As I continue to settle down into my new life, I am hoping to learn more. (especially the language)

À bientôt !
