Midway Point!!!

It is now officially midway through the semester! I just finished my last midterm on Monday this week. While studying for midterms, I discovered the genius idea of unmanned self service 24hr cafes. Korea has a lot of actual study cafes but the kiosks outside were in Korean only and my friend and I could not figure out how to make an account, so we found the next best thing: 24hr cafes. These are usually small spaces with self service drink machines and small desserts. The cafes are unmanned but security monitored. Korea has a very trusting culture so it works here. There are usually many students at these cafes between the hours of 11pm-1am, so my friends and I got to experience many different cafes. Our favorite is one that is a 10-15 minute walk from campus because there is usually space. Korea University campus also provides study cubicles that are 24/7 as well. These can be accessed only with your student ID card. Anyways, I won't be seeing any more 24hr cafes until finals.

It just hit me recently that I'm already halfway through my study abroad journey. I feel like time has passed by so quickly. This second half of the semester will probably go by much faster than the first. I just know we're all going to be crying at the end of this. Surprisingly, I did not feel homesick at all during my time here. I'm actually already mourning leaving Korea.
Currently, I am typing this blog post from a seaside cafe in Gangneung. I love the view from the huge windows. My friend and I are staying in Gangneung from May 1-May 6 as this is technically our spring break. I will say, I've been visiting more beaches than I expected. I also visited two beaches when I went to Busan during a long weekend.
Anyways, this is it for now!
