The One With Fashion Week

Bonjour toute le monde!

Okay so this past week was Paris Fashion Week! And while I don't live in Paris, I live 40 minutes away by train and so I can easily visit whenever I want. So, this past week one of my friends from my hometown came and visited me over her spring break, which called for multiple trips into the city for tourist things. One day we planned to see a lot of the main tourist things in the first couple arrondissements. So, we started at the Arc de Triomphe, made our way to the Louvre, and ended at the Galeries Lafayette by the Palais Garnier. While we were walking through Concord we noticed a big crowd and people screaming by the gates for the Jardin de Tuileries. So, we went to look and it turns out that it was people leaving the Dior fashion show. I absolutely love fashion and Dior is my favorite brand. Having my camera with me, and permission from my friend, I joined the crowed to take some photos. We got there right at the end and so most people left. But I didn't mind, I just love taking photos and I love fashion. I hopped up on this wall where other people were taking photos and joined the crowed.

Throughout the rest of the week, we kept running into fashion show places. There was one by the Trocadero, at the Louvre, the Palais Garnier, and we saw cars waiting while a show was happing down a street one day. We just saw the venues and cars after the Dior show, but it was still amazing seeing how it was all set up and the unique places they happen at. Here at school I met someone who was a hired photographer for one of the shows and the stuff he got was amazing. One of my dreams is to be part of fashion week, in whatever manner I can be.

Well, that's all for this week. School just started and I'm hoping to get into a better routine, so I plan to post more regularly because I have a lot to post about since I got here mid-January.

Till next time ~
